Cloud Cost Triage (CCT)

Practical cloud spend clarity — without commitment or disruption.

Cloud Cost Triage is a short, focused diagnostic engagement that helps teams understand where cloud costs are drifting
and where meaningful optimization opportunities may exist across AWS and Azure.

This is structured analysis and prioritization — not implementation work, tooling rollout, or a long-term FinOps program.

At a glance

A practical entry point for organizations that need clarity before committing to broader optimization initiatives.

What Cloud Cost Triage Gives You

Spend baseline

Establish a clear view of recent spend and trends, and where costs are concentrated.

Prioritized opportunities

A ranked list of likely savings opportunities, based on impact, effort, and confidence.

90-day roadmap

Practical next steps that help teams plan and execute optimization work with less guesswork.

How It Works

1) Kickoff
Confirm scope, agree on data access method, and align on objectives and outputs.
2) Data review & analysis
Analyze spend trends and cost drivers using the best available sources (read-only preferred; exports when necessary).
3) Synthesis & prioritization
Document findings with assumptions and confidence notes, and rank opportunities based on impact and effort.
4) Delivery
Provide baseline summary, prioritized opportunity list, and a practical 90-day roadmap with an executive-ready summary.

Data Access & Scope

Preferred

Read-only access to AWS/Azure billing and cost views for validation at the source.

Alternative

Structured exports can be sufficient in some cases, depending on environment size and complexity.

Transparency

Findings are labeled as directional or high-confidence based on available data.

Cost Explorer / Azure Cost Management support historical trends. Where already enabled, line-item sources such as AWS CUR or Azure usage exports improve precision.
CUR does not backfill historical data prior to enablement; if enabled during the engagement it supports forward-looking validation only.

Comparison

Cloud Cost Triage is priced to be accessible before you have committed to a broader optimization program. The base fee covers the full engagement — kickoff, analysis, synthesis, and delivery.

Pricing

Cloud Cost Triage is priced to be accessible before you have committed to a broader optimization program. The base fee covers the full engagement — kickoff, analysis, synthesis, and delivery.

Single Cloud(AWS or Azure) Two Clouds(AWS + Azure)
Base fee $3,500 $6,500
Performance component 25% of identified savings opportunities 25% of identified savings opportunities
If no meaningful waste found No charge No charge

Zero-cost guarantee. The screening call exists to confirm fit before any engagement begins. If the work finds no meaningful optimization opportunities, the base fee is waived entirely — you pay nothing.

How the performance component works. After delivery, we review the identified savings opportunities together and agree on their estimated value. The 25% applies to that agreed figure — it reflects the value of what was found, not implementation work, which remains entirely at your discretion.

Not sure whether your environment is a good fit? The 20-minute screening call will answer that for both of us — no preparation required.

FAQs

Does CCT require production access?
No. CCT is based on billing/cost data and read-only access where possible. No production changes are made.
Is Cost Explorer enough?
It is useful for baselines and trends. Where available, line-item sources improve precision. Findings are labeled accordingly.
What if CUR isn’t enabled?
CUR does not backfill. If enabled during the engagement, it supports forward-looking validation only.

Next Step

If you’re unsure whether Cloud Cost Triage fits your environment, the easiest next step is a short screening conversation. No preparation is required.
